What is Arizona Gives Day?
Arizona Gives Day is an annual event that unites nonprofits—big and small, new and established—to celebrate their missions and inspire philanthropy through online giving. Powered by AZ Impact for Good, this statewide movement highlights the vital role that nonprofits play in strengthening Arizona’s communities and encourages generosity to create a stronger and thriving Arizona for all.
Can I Make My Donation Before April 1?
Yes, donations can be made anytime of the year. In order for a donation to count towards Duet’s grand total for Arizona Gives Day however, it must be made during the ‘early giving’ period beginning March 11, 2025.
Are Arizona Gives Day Donations to Duet Eligible for the Arizona State Tax Credit?
Yes. Duet is a Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO), which makes your gift eligible for the dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.
2024:
- The maximum allowable credit for contributions to QCOs for the 2024 tax year is $470 single, married filing separately, and heads of household filers, or $938 for married filing jointly.
Please Note: Arizona law allows QCO and QFCO donations made during 2024 or donations made from January 1, 2025, through April 15, 2025, to be claimed on the 2024 Arizona income tax return.
2025:
- The maximum allowable credit for contributions to QCOs for the 2025 tax year is $495 single, married filing separately, and heads of household filers, or $987 for married filing jointly.
